MORE KIDS HOME

We’re happy to announce that one toddler has just gone home to Northern California…welcome to America Ella!

Also home now are Andrice, and Vivianne and Jerlande, to France. Bienvenue!

Next to go home this month will be little Dory.

We pray that November will be a bountiful homecoming month. We have many families who have had an agonizingly drawn out end process (remember the days when IBESR was the huge massively long process??? Nowadays IBESR’s a breeze!) and we must pray hard that their waits will come to a close and those many many kids will finally go home.

Everyone connected with PAC, be it with kids home or kids still there, no matter what side of the fence they’re on, wants to see those kids go home. What a big blog post that will be on that day!!! YEAH!

PICKUP ALERT! THEY ARE HOME!

We have Wil, Widline and Scheinaiding actually ENROUTE to their new homes right this moment! (Last we heard they were sitting at Chili’s in the Dallas airport feeding their kids pizza and chicken fingers LOL)

Ella Fleurentina should be next to go home, and then we have scads more either WITH passports or also on the precipice of having their passports.

Many kids will go home this summer! :)

HERE THEY ARE AT HOME! HAPPY NEW FAMILIES!

Olivia (Schenaiding) in Canada

We have 4 kids poised for passports…

Wil, Ella Fleurentina, Widline, and Scheinaiding

These will likely be the next group to go home. The moms stand at the ready, fingers on the mouse button to “click” to book their flights. Jen, Natalia, and Christina will soon be traveling and we will have 3 new Canadians and one new American.

Get ready!

Farewell and Welcome Home to our Home Boys

We are ecstatic for two of our original “Home Boys” who have been with Marie since the BEGINNING of PAC, that they are finally going home to Florida today, June 12, 2008. They have been a fixture at PAC. We all know and love them, (Gyrlande and I even named our dog after the younger brother…well, okay, that was because the name means “little boy” in Kreyol, not because our dog reminded us of the real boy!)

We couldn’t be happier for these 2 brothers, originally from Cite Soleil. Marie will likely be able to visit them when she goes to see her family in Florida.

Here are the first few photos we ever saw of them, and today!!
This first one was taken on a date unknown, but looks to be VERY early. Maybe early 2005 or 2004.

PAC Circa Fall 2005

We first sent Granny Bin over to PAC in the Fall of 2005 to get some official pictures for the fledgling website. She had the whole gaggle of kids come down for some posed group shots (along with Nerlande and Marly).

Here was the original gaggle!

This was the first time they met Granny Bin, so understandably this was all a big mystery to them. Gyrlande’s opinion of having a photo shoot with a strange lady was…

School’s in Session!

We had a mom JUST come back with wonderful photos of the kids who were in school when they came by. The first thing I said was “OHHHHH LOOK AT THOSE UUUNIIIFFFOORRRMMMSSS!!” This is PAC’s first school with uniforms! I thought they were actually the CUTEST Haitian school uniforms i’ve ever seen!

PAC kids now go to school from 8-1 every weekday. Our visiting policy now works around this schedule, and we will soon be transitioning visits to a set week each month, to lessen the chaos for both the kids and Marie. We think it will allow visitors more “face time” with Marie as well. We have had the most permissive visiting policy probably of any orphanage in Haiti! We still may, we just have to keep our chaos to one week a month. :)

Trips to allow groups of parents to file their i600 papers will be scheduled either during the monthly visit trips, if there aren’t too many, or separately if need be.

As usual, I’ll let the photos do the talking :) And watch carefully for our fave thing, the “happy nanny” shot! It’s in there!

A New Family…..Thank you Julie!
